Our company owns machine tools such as lasers and presses that can cut and bend metal, so when we manufacture parts ourselves, we consider the shape of the parts to be cut, the parts to be bent, and the order in which they will be bent and create drawings. I think it's easier to understand if you visualize it as a "rolled out diagram of a die."
